About Us

Schermeen is the owner of Beyond the Numbers.  Schermeen is a licensed CPA and received her Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from North Carolina Central University and Masters Degree in Accounting from Lehman College. Schermeen has over fifteen years of accounting experience in both private and non-profit industries.   She has worked for a local CPA firm as Supervisor of Accounting Services where she serviced several non-profit clients.  Schermeen has worked for Fortune 500 companies as well. Schermeen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  She also served four years as Treasurer of the North Carolina Central University Alumni Association, DC Chapter.   

Joyce Green provides bookkeeping support for our clients and general office support.  She served for 29 years with the Federal Government and retired as a Budget Analyst.  Joyce can be reached on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm.

Robyn Washington is the owner of Emerald Virtual Assistant Services LLC.  She provides administrative, marketing, and payroll support for our company.  Please contact her if you have questions regarding:
